🌏✨ Environmental Voices in 5R ✨🌏

Students in 5R have been exploring Cindy Forde and Bethany Lord's powerful multimodal text 'Bright New World', learning about the importance of protecting our environment and the role we all play in creating a sustainable future.

Inspired by the text, students investigated environmental issues affecting our local community and crafted their own persuasive and informative pieces of writing. Through their work, they shared thoughtful ideas about caring for our waterways, reducing litter, protecting native wildlife and making positive changes to help our environment thrive.

We are incredibly proud of the passion, creativity and critical thinking our students demonstrated as they used their voices to advocate for a brighter future.

Stage 1 have been enjoying weekly gymnastics lessons with the team from Ultimate Gymnastics. Over the past two weeks, students in 2R have been developing their listening skills, creativity, coordination and teamwork through a range of fun and engaging activities. They have enthusiastically embraced new challenges and are enjoying the opportunity to learn and practise new gymnastics skills. 🤸🏽

Congratulations to all students who proudly represented Wallarah Zone at the Sydney North Cross Country Carnival today. Every student demonstrated determination, resilience and a commitment to doing their very best throughout the day.

A special congratulations to Violet from Lake Munmorah PS, who achieved an outstanding result by finishing **1st place in the Senior Girls MC Division**. What a fantastic achievement!
