The verdict is in. Swipe for the results... 🫣

This Scotts Creek property was planted as part of our 2025 season, and our team headed back for our annual Autumn monitoring to check in on progress.

Despite the roos taking pleasure in gnawing on some of the small seedlings, and the long grasses covering some of the growth (incidentally also acting as a shield against damage), things are looking hopeful for this site!

This is a private land project funded by the Victorian Government’s Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action $77 million BushBank Program and Greening Australia. The BushBank program is restoring more than 20,000 hectares of land across Victoria to create healthy wildlife habitat and capture carbon. Could your property be next?

Ground has been broken and planting season is well and truly underway for 2026!

This year, hundreds of thousands of seeds and seedlings will find new life across 17+ projects in Victoria and South Australia. The Cassinia teams have their work cut out for them but this is the most exciting time of the year.

A typical day on the field bumping into this spiky resident, and from this angle he almost looks cuddly...?

Those powerful claws you can see are not just for show or good looks, but a natural source of heavy machinery in our landscape.

Did you know a single echidna moves roughly seven tonnes of soil every year?

That's the equivalent of 8 trailer loads.

While they may be hunting for a meal, this digging traps leaves and seeds in the soil, helping promote plant growth, keep carbon in the ground rather than the atmosphere and improve soil health generally.

Our conservation work at properties like this one helps maintain habitat for the echidna, and they in turn, help us maintain these precious landscapes. 🤝

Planting season is upon us, which means our sites have been prepared for action! 🚜

The team were out in Arnold West and Earlston over the last week getting these two BushBank properties primed for the thousands of seedlings that'll be planted on each site over the next few months.

Site preparation is a key piece of the restoration process and contour ripping is one step that makes transformation of the most degraded landscapes viable.

We've partnered with Pro Purpose so that our impact goes beyond the soil of Australia.

Our commitment is that for every 10 hectares we protect or revegetate in Australia, we’ll fund the protection and regeneration of an additional hectare in Africa, through World Vision International's Regreen project.

In many African nations, land degradation is a direct driver of extreme poverty. It leads to more frequent and intense droughts and floods and more failed crops and starving livestock.

Regreen's Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR) technique has been introduced into 29 countries, already restoring millions of hectares of land. Our plan is to add to that figure.

This pledge is our way to connect our local conservation efforts directly to global restoration & we're excited to follow and share the impact.
