As we come into the cooler months, the days are lovely, but nights are getting a bit chilly ❄️

Here's an important reminder from the CFA (Country Fire Authority) to turn off your heater before bed, keep clothes at least one metre away from all heating sources - including heaters and fireplaces - and always supervise children around heaters and open fires 👪

Don't risk your family's safety, make sure your heaters are safe for this winter 🔥🏠

Missed this month's Council Meeting on Wednesday night? Mayor Kate Kendall and Cr Rob Guthrie visited the beautiful Gisborne Botanic Gardens the morning after, to talk through some of the key outcomes, including:

📝 Key updated documents endorsed, in the Biodiversity Strategy and Community Engagement Policy
🗣 The Draft Affordable Housing Policy and Draft Nature Strip Landscaping Policy endorsed for community consultation
🏠 An item of urgent business noted in the proposed Clarkefield development, and Council's push for more time to make a considered submission (don't forget to visit Councillors at Clarkefield Hall tomorrow from 10:30am-12pm)
🎓 A Notice of Motion requesting an update on the status and future planning for public secondary education provision within the Macedon Ranges

Public submissions close soon (1 June) on the Victorian Government-led consultation for the proposed development of Clarkefield, but we want to hear from our community directly to help inform our own submission and advocacy 🗣️

Whether you're a local to Clarkefield or surrounds, a regular Clarkefield commuter, or you regularly drive through along Melbourne-Lancefield Road, you're invited to chat to Councillors at Clarkefield Hall (Clarkefield Recreation Reserve) this Saturday 30 May from 10:30am-12pm (and while you're there, you might also like to chat to the newly reformed Clarkefield Hall committee, with members holding a working bee) 🙌

National Reconciliation Week begins today (27 May – 3 June).

This week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements — and to reflect on how we can each play an active role in reconciliation.

This year’s theme 'All In' reminds us that reconciliation is not a spectator sport — we all have a role to play in creating meaningful change.

As part of , join us on Sunday at Kyneton Town Hall to see First Nations artist Mo'Ju perform, supported by Wild Gloriosa. It’ll be a vibrant performance that celebrates culture, connection and storytelling through music. Tickets: mrsc.vic.gov.au/moju
