Saw such a inspiring young man that has started his own support company. Well he is trying he is a ndis participant that knows we need better support workers in the regional nsw. This is a novelty gift + support work company but his mission is trying to get support workers that are ndis participants and pay them what they deserve.

People need to know that so many companies are giving support work jobs to people with ndis funding (disability) then paying the worker $2 a hour while charging other participants $60 a hour. This young man with (disability) has started a business to try and pay people with (disability) the money they deserve.

Jonah received his COVID-19 children’s vaccine this week, checking out the low sensory vaccination space we have available at our Belmont Vaccination Hub.

Our low sensory rooms offer a private space away from general vaccination areas, to ensure that both children and adults with a disability are comfortable when receiving their COVID-19 vaccine.

To access this space, you can speak to our friendly staff on arrival at the Hub.

Hunter New England Health offers accessible vaccination services at clinics across the district, including at: Taree, Armidale, Moree and Muswellbrook.

Kids ages five years and older are now eligible for the Pfizer children’s COVID-19 vaccine, with online bookings available at: https://covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/booking/

There is a growing body of research exploring the positive impact of dogs (and indeed a variety of other domestic animals) on autistic individuals. Many autistic individuals will describe or be observed to possess a natural affinity with animals. Animals, and particularly dogs, provide a multitude of benefits to autistic people. They come with a present-focused, non-judgemental, and simplified way of communicating and relating to the world around them; they differ vastly from their nuanced and complex human counterparts, who are so often a source of confusion and anxiety for an autistic person.
