Set on 100 acres of World Heritage Rainforest, this unique tourist attraction is situated five minutes travel from Kuranda Village, and half an hour from Cairns in Tropical North Queensland, Australia. This eco-friendly attraction has three unique experiences: Army Duck Tours through the rainforest on both land and water; the Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience with a traditional dance performance and

guided Dreamtime Walk with boomerang throwing, spear-throwing and didgeridoo playing; and a Koala & Wildlife Park, where you can see native Australian animals, including crocodiles, wombats, dingoes, and the cassowary, as well as handfeed kangaroos and have your photo taken cuddling a cute koala.

Rainforestation Nature Park is turning 50 and special discounted tickets are available for veterans, defence families and their families to join the celebration this Saturday 6th June.

The Army Duck Rainforest Tour is where Rainforestation began and on June 6th, we’re dedicating a full day to celebrating these remarkable vehicles and the veterans they honour.

Rainforestation operates Australia’s largest fleet of 12 DUKWs, each an authentic World War II amphibious craft with a story to tell.

June 6th holds special significance as the anniversary of D-Day, 1944 - when DUKW amphibious vehicles were used extensively in the Allied landing at Normandy.

It’s a fitting day to reflect, remember, and give back.

🎖️ Every Army Duck ticket on this day makes a difference.

50% of proceeds from all local experiences go directly to the FNQ Legacy Club - helping build FNQ Legacy House, a place of comfort and support for the families of Veterans in Far North Queensland.

What an incredible Wildlife Weekend! 🐨🌿

Over the weekend, we welcomed families and wildlife lovers to enjoy a range of activities, learn more about our amazing native animals and celebrate the important role they play in our environment.

It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces getting involved and making memories with us.

One of the highlights was our colouring competition, which brought out plenty of creativity from our younger visitors. Congratulations to Bella, one of our lucky winners, who took home a koala lamp! ✨

Thank you to everyone who attended, participated and helped make the weekend such a success. We love seeing our community come together to connect with wildlife and support conservation.

Experience the Dreamtime Walk 🍃

This half-hour guided tour gives further insight into Aboriginal traditions.

Try your hand at boomerang throwing, after a demonstration and a few lessons you’ll be ready to test your skills!

When you observe the spear throwing you’ll be amazed at the distance the Pamagirri guides can throw spears using a Woomera.

Its an unforgettable cultural experience that combines education, tradition and fun 🤩
