🚨 IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ 🚨

**Breaking News: Income Support Payments, job search, and mutual obligations to be increased**

Worklinks has received notice regarding the increase to Jobseeker payment as well as changes to mutual obligations. Be assured if anything is of concern to you please contact us and we will be monitoring and updating our services in line with these changes.

"In what was an intense Press Conference today Prime Minister Morrison, Minister Cash, and Minister Ruston explained changes to “the single largest increase” in base payment support to Job Seekers for 30 years.

Below is a snapshot of the increase:

1. The payment rate increase represents an increase from 37.5% to 41.2% of the National Minimum Wage – a rate not experienced since the Howard Government
2. Non-declarable income increases to $150 per fortnight
3. The Government's additional payments (rental support etc.) will not change
4. The increase is $50 per fortnight, a little over $4 per day"

🚨SCAM ALERT! 🚨 Watch out for scam phone calls claiming to be from Services Australia, the Australian Taxation Office and other government agencies.

These calls threaten people with legal action over a tax return or debt if they don’t provide personal information. Sometimes, they’ll have a recorded message instead of a person on the other end of the call.

Although we do call people, we’ll always clearly identify ourselves. If you’re unsure if the call is genuine, you should hang up, then call us on one of our payment lines to check if the call was really from us.

Remember:

📵 hang up if a call feels suspicious or threatening
