🇦🇺 Congratulations to our newest Australian Citizens
🇦🇺Aussie! Aussie! Aussie 🦘

🖤 It was a privilege to represent the South Australian Multicultural Commission and join with Mayor Angela Evans in welcoming new citizens at the City Of Charles Sturt Citizenship Ceremony.

💛 Becoming an Australian citizen is more than a legal milestone. It is a powerful moment of belonging, identity, and shared future. The next time you return through Adelaide Airport from overseas, you can proudly say: “I’m home.” 🏡

❤️ “Welcome” is more than a greeting. It is the foundation of strong communities - built through human connection, compassion, inclusion, and respect.

🖤 In the spirit of this year’s theme, “A Million Stories”, we celebrate the journeys, experiences, and contributions that make Australia one of the world’s most vibrant multicultural nations. Every story matters. Everyone belongs. 🌏

💛 Now more than ever, these conversations - and these moments of welcome - matter.

❤️ Welcome to our national multicultural movement committed to creating communities where everyone belongs.

We love Charles Sturt
Local, fresh, SA made
Festivities, food and wine
A rich diversity that shines

Family, friendship, culture and care
A welcoming spirit everywhere
Laughter, love and community pride

ANZAC EVE SERVICE OF COMMEMORATION
St Clair Reserve, City Of Charles Sturt

My roots are born of distant shores
From Vietnam’s boats I came,
Across the seas to find a home
Beneath Australia’s name.

And in this land of hope and peace
Where freedom’s light still shines,
I laid a wreath for those who served
And gave their lives for mine.

For courage carved in history,
For sacrifice - so deep,
For every soul who answered call
And paid the price we keep.

At dawn we stand in silence,
At dusk - our heads bowed low,
We carry forth their legacy
Much more than words can show.

Lest we forget their courage,
From sunrise to sunset,
We honour the fallen heroes.
We promise to never forget 🥀🇦🇺🌿

Murugan Idli Adelaide
Launch of M-Idli Loyalty App
465 Torrens Rd, Woodville Park SA 5011

👏🏼 Heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Sundar Rajan, Mrs Priya, family and staff on the 1st Anniversary of Murugan Idli. Your journey over the past year reflects vision, courage, and deep cultural pride.

🇮🇳 Your initiative has added depth to South Australia’s Multicultural fabric, creating a space where traditions are shared and appreciated across communities.

🍚 The humble idli, rooted in South Indian heritage, has become more than a dish, it is now a symbol of cultural exchange, nourishment, and inclusivity.

🇦🇺 Establishing Murugan Idli in the City Of Charles Sturt, Woodville Ward, has contributed meaningfully to the area’s rich diversity and community identity. Your restaurant has become a welcoming hub for connection through food, shared experiences, cultural awareness and appreciation in everyday local life.

📲 The launch of the M-Idli App reflects forward-thinking leadership, making your offerings more accessible while keeping cultural roots intact.

🌏 It was a priviledge to support Murugan Idli in my role as Councillor Quin Tran, in the City of Charles Sturt, and join with SA Multicultural Commission Chair Luisa Greco, Hon. Joe Szakacs MP, Councillor Councillor Senthil Chidambaranathan, Councillor Wasim Saeed JP, Mr Brad Chilcott, Mr PL Annadurai, Chris Antony, Mr Sashi Cheliah and many distinguished guests...

Ugadi Celebration 2026
Telugu Association of South Australia

🇦🇺 Namaskāraṁ, Niina Marni, G’day!
Today we come together in the beautiful 123 year old Woodville Town Hall, built in 1903, to celebrate Ugadi Telugu New Year Celebrations in the City Of Charles Sturt:

We love City Of Charles Sturt
Local, fresh, SA Made

Vegies, curries, rice
A smorgasbord for apetite

Family, friends, fire
A diversity of desire

Laughter, Love, Life
The atmosphere at TASA - just right 🙌🏻

🇮🇳 A beautiful start to the Ugadi Celebration filled with culture, connection, and joy. From traditional food and festivities to laughter shared among family and friends, the spirit of togetherness was truly alive.
🇦🇺 In my role as Councillor Khuyen Tran, it was an honour to be Mayor Angela Evans' delegate and acknowledge the incredible work of TASA in bringing our community together. Events like Ugadi reflect the heart of our city, "Unity in Diversity", where people from all backgrounds feel welcomed, connected, and proud to belong.
It was lovely to join with colleague Mr Rajendra Pandey (member of the SA Multicultural Commision); Councillor Senthil Chidambaranathan; and Mr KD Singh - Each with our own personal story as to how our journey has interconnected us to this very lucky destination, where we are proud to call Multicultural SA "Home".
🇮🇳 Ugadi is more than a celebration, it’s a reminder of our shared journey, our rich heritage, and the strength of our community across generations.
🇦🇺 Congratulations to Mr Naveen Kondaveeti, President, Telegu Association of SA; TASA members, the organising committee, emcees, and volunteers -

Wishing everyone a joyful and prosperous Ugadi!

🗳️ A heartfelt congratulations to our Premier of South Australia, The Hon. Peter Malinauskas MP, Member for Croydon; and Minister for Multicultural Affairs SA, The Hon. Zoe Bettison MP, Member for Ramsay.

📢 “Although this is a historic result… although this is the best result our Party has ever achieved… this is an invitation to work our guts out for the next four years… to advance the interests of our State and its people.” (SA Premier, State Election Victory Speech, 2026)

These words don’t just celebrate victory - they set the tone for purpose, accountability, and hard work ahead.

❤️🇦🇺💛 What stood out most was not just the moment, but the meaning behind it. Surrounded by family, colleagues, and the people of South Australia, our Premier took time to recognise the sacrifice, resilience, and determination of Vietnamese boat people - those who fled communism in search of peace, opportunity, and a better future for their families.

Their journey is a powerful reminder of what patriotism can truly look like: building a life, contributing to community, and giving back to the country that gave refugees a chance.

💛🇦🇺❤️ This acknowledgement matters. It speaks to listening, respect, and a genuine understanding that our diversity is our strength - and that together, we shape a shared future for all South Australians.

💛🇦🇺❤️ On behalf of my family in the Croydon Electorate, and in my role as President of the Vietnamese Community in South Australia, I extend my sincere gratitude, thanks and congratulations to our Premier, my local Member of Parliament; and Minister for Veteran Affairs, The Hon. Joe Szakacs MP, Member for Cheltenham.

Together - here's to our strength in diversity, respect, and the work ahead 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
