Since Monday morning, the SES have seen over 328 requests for assistance from the public across the state, due to the arrival of a wintry blast which brought damaging winds, heavy rain, rough seas and abnormally high tides.

One of the busiest Units across the last few days was Mount Barker State Emergency Service, where 12 volunteers responded to 36 requests for assistance, as seen in some of these pictures.

We want to take this opportunity to thank our incredible SES volunteers for assisting the community through all hours over the last few days, helping with fallen trees, flood salvaging and severe weather damage to properties.

While this pressure system passes, please stay alert, drive to the conditions and be aware of debris on roads.

For emergency storm or flood assistance, call 132 500.
For life-threatening emergencies, call 000.
