Geologist Prof. Ian Plimer is challenging the mainstream climate narrative, pointing out that Earth’s climate has naturally fluctuated for thousands of years. According to him, the planet was significantly warmer a thousand years ago, long before humans were pumping out massive emissions.

He asks the critical question: “Which part of modern warming is of human origin, and which part is natural? Because we are not as warm as in medieval times, or in Roman times, or in Minoan times.” His insights force us to reconsider what we’ve been told about climate change and to separate fact from fear. 🌍🔥

Delivering for Upper Ross:

Exciting Plans Ahead
Since being elected to represent the Upper Ross, I’ve been working hard to deliver real outcomes for our community. To date, I’ve logged 378 jobs, with only 20 outstanding—and I’m committed to getting those completed as soon as possible.
One of the biggest wins has been securing approval for recreational fishing at the dam, and I’m thrilled to share that Stage Two, which will allow boating on the dam, isn’t far off. This will be a game-changer for locals and visitors alike.
We’ve also had some fantastic projects come to life:

✅ Pontoon approved for Loam Island – anticipated completion by March 2026
✅ Special needs swing installed at Charles Moroney Park
✅ Coles, Banjo’s Bakery, and Snap Fitness – all in progress and achieved within my first year

And there’s more on the horizon! We’re currently in talks to establish a motocross club in Upper Ross—something I know many residents will be excited about. Stay tuned for updates.
With Mayor Nick Dametto now on deck, things are moving in the right direction. He’s visited Upper Ross several times and is fully supportive of the projects underway. It’s great to have that level of backing for our community.
Lastly, Riverway Drive is still under construction, and I can’t wait to see the finished result—it’s going to make a huge difference.

This is why we do what we do. Thanks to all the candidates. I’m sure the best candidate will become Mayor.

Thank you to the Upper Ross Community Voice for the warm welcome last night.

It was a privilege to join other mayoral candidates and speak directly with passionate locals about the issues that matter most in the Upper Ross.

From community safety to infrastructure, and services, these conversations are vital to shaping a better future for Townsville.

👏 A big thank you to the organisers and members for creating such a strong, connected space for community dialogue. Groups like this show the power of local leadership in action, and I’ll always welcome the chance to listen and learn from the people who live and breathe our great city.
