đźš’FATHERS DAY 2026đźš’

a day where we celebrate all the incredible fathers and father figures connected to our crew.

To the dads who proudly serve our community, who proudly wear the uniform and commit to the job, thank you for leading by example, serving your community and showing what courage, commitment and compassion look like every day.

To the husbands, partners and dads who answer the pager when duty calls, thank you for balancing family life whilst serving others. Your willingness to step away from birthdays, dinners, weekends and family time to help those in need does not go unnoticed.

To the wives, partners and families who support our firefighter dads, thank you for your understanding, encouragement and the sacrifices you make behind the scenes. Your support allows our firefighters to answer the call when our community needs them most. You are superstars!

From the entire crew here at 344, we wish all the dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures a very Happy Father's Day.

Happy Father's Day. 🚒❤️

Crews were turned out to a large shed well alight in Mulbring early this afternoon.
Black smoke could be seen billowing into the sky from Kearsley.
Gaining fire control was a challenge, water was one of our main concerns, with crews setting up a relay pump from out on the road. It took 4 appliances to set up and relay the water down to the fire. Another huge concern was not knowing what was in the shed, large explosions happened multiple times, spewing extreme heat and flames into the sky. The heat was unbearable at the appliances, so crews were feeling the brunt of it in today’s warm weather.
All crews from Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW RFS Lower Hunter worked together to get fire control and stop the dry grass from creating another problem.
Well done to the hard work of all crews

What a privilege to do what we do!
MN3 Firies tackled the Firies Climb for Motor Neurone Disease at 7am this morning. The crew were bright eyed and bushie tailed, and on our minds were the people who have donated over $14,535 at this time, to help contribute to the $268k that has been raised so far. So humbled🫶
We thank each and every person who helped us reach this total, you have done a wonderful thing.
The stairs were hard, exhausting and an accomplishment in our gear. We’re proud to have been part of this.
Thanks to our Fire and Rescue NSW Commissioner, Jeremy Fewtrell AFSM for joining us on the stairs again this morning and setting an example all us firies are proud of.
MN3 had one of the largest group of firies from all the zones. Something to be proud of.

Some of our crew arrived in time to see the the 3pm start of the Firies Climb for Motor Neurone Disease. This stair climb will go for 24hrs, many are starting this afternoon and will go up and down as many times as their legs will carry them.
Beyond proud of the community and team spirit everyone has and the best news is that donations have reached $240k, but let’s not stop there!!!
A quick hello to our Fire and Rescue NSW Commissioner, Jeremy Fewtrell AFSM, who by the way is suiting up in full gear and doing the climb with the Firies.
Our time slot is 7am tomorrow 🫶
