What a fantastic gathering on the banks of the beautiful Fitzroy River !!

Was reassuring to see the Premier David Crisafulli MP ,Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie MP , our state member for Rockhampton Donna Kirkland MP , Rockhampton Mayor Tony Williams , Simon Irwin CEO of Beef Australia , Kim Harrington, Associate Vice President CQUniversity Australia and our very own Rockhampton Fitzroy Rowing Club Inc. president Sarah Black all coming together to confirm and show support for the 2032 Olympics Rowing and Canoeing to be held here in Rockhampton on the Mighty Fitzroy River!

What this means moving forward is we can continue planning for the event and promoting what our beautiful region has to offer.

Speed dating with a difference 😁

As part of Growing Queensland the Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning held the annual " Meet the Buyer" event.

It was a great opportunity for businesses to connect one-on-one with principal contractors and project proponents to understand procurement processes and learn about upcoming opportunities right here in the Central Queensland region.

The amazing Rockhampton Regional Council team were there to help with any questions in relation to our procurement process and to also promote our economic development.

So yeah.. not the speed dating I thought is was. 😅🤣

This weekend Rockhampton BMX Club are hosting the annual Rocky Rumble.

Good luck to all competitors and a huge appreciation shout out to the committee, volunteers and officials who make these events happen for our communities ! 🤩

And to Rockhampton Regional Council for supporting the events like this through the Community Assistance Program.

Holy Dooley ! Showing my age but simple Comics have come a long way since Batman, Archie and Footrot Flats 😅

Just attended my 1st CapriCon Pop Culture Convention , brought to you by Rockhampton Regional Council and presented by Advance Rockhampton!

And what an eye opener, CapriCon celebrates a wide variety of pop culture including comics, collectibles, cosplay, anime, medieval, gaming, art, steampunk and more.

CapriCon Rockhampton aims to engage and encourage the Queensland pop culture community and cosplay enthusiasts to celebrate and be part of regional Queensland’s largest single-day pop culture convention.
