CONGRATULATIONS!

We are thrilled to award the following artists and arts organisations with grants as part of the 2026 City of the Arts Trust Grants Program! Congratulations to all eight grant recipients. We look forward to sharing more information as their projects are realised.

The Blue Mountains Cultural Centre is presenting a new painting prize!

Submissions for the inaugural Hill Painting Prize will close midnight Sunday 24 May 2026.

This new painting prize will feature three awards – People’s Choice, Artist’s Choice and an overall winner – with a total prize pool of $12,000. The overall winner will be announced at the official exhibition opening on Friday 7 August 2026.

Blue Mountains City Council's Cultural Development team is excited to be participating in the 2026 Ripple: Disability and Diversity Internship Program.

Applications are now open for this exciting paid internship opportunity led by Accessible Arts in partnership with Diversity Arts Australia and a range of leading arts and cultural organisations.

Eight paid internships will be offered across NSW and ACT for people who identify as both culturally diverse AND d/Deaf, Disabled and/or Neurodivergent.

The term “culturally diverse” is inclusive of people who identify as Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) and or Culturally and Racially Marginalised (CaRM), people of colour, Black people, and people from migrant and refugee backgrounds.

A person with Disability includes anyone with sensory or physical conditions, learning disability, chronic illnesses, mental health conditions or who is Neurodivergent.

This 14-week program includes an internship, 1:1 mentorship and professional development training. Internships will take place from June to September.
