On 1 May, Scenic World, the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water’s Saving our Species program + Botanic Gardens of Sydney came together for a special handover event dedicated to protecting one of Australia’s rarest plants - the Dwarf Mountain Pine.
Propagated and carefully grown at the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah, several plants were transferred to be put on display at Scenic World as part of an ongoing conservation partnership, helping return this ancient species to a landscape closely aligned with its natural Jamison Valley habitat while raising awareness of the fragile rainforest and waterfall ecosystems it depends on.
