SKILL UP PROGRAM | EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Looking to gain new skills, improve your job opportunities, or add qualifications to your resume?

We're seeking expressions of interest for our upcoming Skill Up Program, with training opportunities including:

âś… Fast Track to Hospitality
âś… Food Safety & Supervision
âś… Working at Heights & Confined Spaces
âś… Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
âś… Barista Course

Courses will be delivered both online and face-to-face, making them accessible and flexible for participants.

To run these courses, we need a minimum of 10 participants enrolled in each course. If you're interested in any of the training opportunities above, we'd love to hear from you.

There will be a small fee to participate; however, we are aiming to keep costs low to ensure these training opportunities remain available to as many people as possible.

The Shire of Dandaragan is accepting tenders from suitably qualified contractors for the provision of its kerbside general waste and recycling pickup service across the Shire of Dandaragan’s four major townsites.

POWERING WA | COMMUNITY INFOMATION SESSIONS

Visit the upcoming WA Government Energy Transition Community Information Session in Dandaragan and Jurien Bay.
The upcoming WA Government Energy Transition Session, hosted by PoweringWA, brings together several State Government agencies involved in the energy transition to meet the local community, share information and answer questions.

This is a chance to learn more about why the energy transition is happening, how you can engage with Government processes to get your views heard, and what the State Government is doing to support communities hosting new projects.

Representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about their role in the energy transition from the following agencies:
• Department of Planning Lands and Heritage
• Department of Water and Environmental Regulation
• Department of Training and Workforce Development
• Wheatbelt Regional Development Commission, and
• Western Power

The Shire of Dandaragan is seeking your feedback to finalise its Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2026-2030.
At the 28 May 2026 Ordinary Council Meeting, a decision was made to endorse the Shire of Dandaragan's Draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2026-2030 for public comment prior to adoption.
The Draft DAIP was prepared after previous consultation with people with disability, their families and carers, services providers, Shire staff and the broader community through a survey to provide feedback on ways to improve services for people with disability.
The Shire of Dandaragan is seeking feedback from the community. Your valuable feedback may be used to refine the draft DAIP.
The Draft DAIP is available to download on our website: https://www.dandaragan.wa.gov.au/consultations/
Alternatively, hard copies will be available to collect from the Shire Administration Centre in Jurien Bay, or libraries and CRCs around the Shire.
Submissions can be lodged via email to [email protected], by post to PO Box 676, Jurien Bay 6516, or hand delivered to the Shire Administration Centre at 69 Bashford Street, Jurien Bay by 4.00pm (AWST) 5 August 2026.
