🐄 REMINDER: Winter Cow Nutrition Workshop – This Week!

Join us this Thursday 7 May, 1.00pm – 4.00pm at ‘Karoo’, 371 Jingellic Rd, Jingellic for a practical, on-farm workshop focused on managing cow nutrition through winter and into calving.

This session will cover:
• Cow energy and protein needs
• What really matters – protein vs energy
• Interpreting feed test results
• Feed ration planning and practical options if conditions tighten

Led by experienced Drought Adoption Officers and local farmers, this is a great opportunity to ask questions, compare feeding strategies and share insights with others.

On behalf of the Jingellic Rural Fire Brigade, Jingellic Hub and our local residents, we extend our sincere thanks to NSW Rural Fire Service - Southern Border District, NSW RFS Riverina Highlands, Mayor Lea Parker, Mayor Julia Ham, Holbrook Rotary Club and supporting agencies, for their unbelievable support, resources, advocacy, care, presence and outstanding communication during the Mt Lawson / Walwa fire.

While the fire is not yet fully extinguished, the professionalism, coordination and visible on-ground presence have provided enormous reassurance to our community during an incredibly challenging time. Our thoughts are with our neighbouring communities who have been impacted, and we stand with them during this challenging time.

To all local and neighbouring RFS crews, thank you for standing up once again. Your commitment, compassion and tireless efforts are deeply appreciated.
