⚽🏆 Our School World Cup kicked off today with Brazil, Spain, England and France taking to the field!

There were plenty of goals, great teamwork and lots of smiles!! It was fantastic to see students cheering each other on.

The competition continues next week, with finals on Friday. 🌎⚽

📢 REMINDER - All ACT public schools are CLOSED this Thursday 11 June 📢

In order to enable industrial action and keep students safe all ACT public schools, including specialist schools and preschools, are CLOSED this Thursday.

The Education Directorate has decided to close schools to students for the day in the interest of student and staff safety.

The Australian Education Union has notified the Education Directorate that its members will take part in protected industrial action on Thursday. We expect a majority of ACT public school staff will participate in the work stoppage, meaning we are unable to confidently plan for safe and appropriate supervision for all students.

Be aware there will be no onsite supervision available for students on Thursday.

If you have any questions or concerns about how this closure impacts your school, please contact your school directly.

We acknowledge that school closures have significant impacts on families and these decisions are not taken lightly. The safety and wellbeing of our students and staff remains our highest priority.

After a long weekend the booderee class returned to school today to enjoy a morning at the Booderee Botanic Gardens, helping the rangers to plant different varieties of plants in the Heath and Woodland Garden.

Back at school we spent the afternoon being artists for our NAIDOC projects.

The word of the day was 'satisfying'! This was heard repeatedly by many students during gardening and painting because it made them feel great 👍

This morning the ghudinjah mudji made the most of the windy weather with some kite flying fun! 🌬️🪁

At first it wasn’t looking like we’d get the kite up in the sky… but after a quick call up to Uncle Brendo, Jasiah was soon captaining the kite like a pro! What a beautiful morning full of teamwork, problem solving, resilience, and big smiles 💛
