This week in ghudinjah, we’ve been on non-stop party prepping for Jasiah’s 7th birthday party!

We made art for our party invitations, wrote sentences, designed birthday cards and made many, many cupcakes!

At the party we had bubbles, balloons and cupcakes! Some of Jasiah’s favourite things. Thanks to everyone who came along to make his party so special.

📢 All ACT public schools CLOSED between 8:30am and 10:30am on Thursday 24 September 2026 📢

The Australian Education Union has notified the Education Directorate that its members will take part in further protected industrial action. The next planned action is a 2-hour work stoppage next Thursday 24 September.

All ACT public schools, including specialist schools and preschools, will be CLOSED to students between 8:30am and 10:30am on Thursday 24 September 2026. The school day will commence at 10:30am.

The Education Directorate has decided to close schools to students during this time, in the interest of student and staff safety. There will be no onsite supervision during this time.

We acknowledge that school closures have significant impacts on families and these decisions are not taken lightly.

We are letting families know about this change as early as possible to help with forward planning. The safety and wellbeing of our students and staff remains our highest priority.

m***a m***a had a wonderful day visiting the Shoalhaven Regional Gallery to view Aunty Julie Freeman and Markeeta Freeman’s exhibition Bun dja and Aaron Kennedy’s exhibition Creatures of the South Coast. We loved connecting with the stories around each artwork and then had the opportunity to create our own prints. Thank you Stephanie for such a lovely session.
