This Father’s Day, Irymple CFA will be joining in the fun at the Bunnings Father’s Day Family Event! 🚒🔥

⏰ 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Come along with the family, enjoy the activities, grab a snag and make sure you stop by and say hello to the Irymple CFA crew! 👋🚒

A great chance for the kids to check out the fire truck, meet some of our local volunteers and enjoy a fun evening with Dad. ❤️

🚨 Don’t forget: the national AusAlert test is taking place today at 2pm. Please be prepared to receive the test notification which will be sent to all compatible devices in Australia - including most mobile phones, and some smart watches and tablets.

Monday 27 July 2026… are you ready for it? ✅

AusAlert will be ready to use in October 2026, but before it launches, the system needs to be tested across Australia.

The national test of AusAlert is on Monday 27 July 2026 at around 2pm AEST.

AusAlert has 2 types of alerts, depending on how severe the emergency is. The national test is a Critical Alert.

Critical Alerts override 'silent' and 'do not disturb' device settings, and they can’t be opted out of. When you receive a Critical Alert, it will appear like a system notification on screens and make a loud siren sound for about 10 seconds.

This is the highest level of warning. It means you may be in danger. You should act immediately.

AusAlerts contain important information to keep you safe and informed during disasters.

The only way to stop your devices from receiving Critical Alerts is to switch them off or put them in aeroplane mode. If you don’t wish to receive the AusAlert national test, do this before the test time in your location and leave them off or in aeroplane mode for at least one hour.

Today, on ANZAC Day, we pause to remember and honour the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.
Their courage, sacrifice, and mateship are values that continue to guide us not only in times of conflict but also in our everyday lives and service to the community.

At Irymple CFA, we stand proudly in remembrance, reflecting on the legacy left behind and the freedoms we are privileged to protect.

We will remember them.

⏰ Daylight Savings is ending – don’t forget to turn your clocks back this weekend!

It’s also the perfect time to check your smoke alarms 🔥🏠
👉 Test each alarm to make sure it’s working
👉 Replace batteries if needed
👉 Check expiry dates – most alarms need replacing every 10 years

A quick check could save lives – especially while we’re spending more time indoors as the weather cools down.
