LSSSA Cross Country

Hi families,
The LSSSA has been in contact with the West Tamar Council and they have given us the go ahead for the Cross Country Carnival tomorrow. Unless you hear otherwise, the event will go ahead!
It is likely to be wet underfoot so we recommend students bring a change of footwear and warm clothing.
Good luck to all our competitors tomorrow. Go Swampies!

Whilst on the subject of Cross Country...
For those who are interested, registrations are now open for the Tasmanian All Schools Cross Country.
Families are welcome to register their children if they are interested in participating. However, please note that our school will not be entering an official team for this event. As a result, any students who register will need to be transported to and from the venue by their parents or carers.
We also encourage families to carefully consider their child’s readiness for this level of competition. The course distance at the state event is longer than what students typically run at school, and may present an added challenge.
Students will be competing in the LSSSA Cross Country this Thursday, which may serve as a helpful indicator of their preparedness. Parents may wish to wait and see how their child performs at this event before deciding to register for the All-Schools competition. If your child finds the LSSSA event challenging, the All-Schools may not be for them. The distance is further and the number of competitors increases from approximately 20 to approximately 200.
