Ian & I would firstly like to express our most sincere gratitude to the wonderful swimming community of Innisfail & surrounds. Your support over our last 21 years of management of the Innisfail Swimming Pool & Swim School has been incredible, and it has been our absolute pleasure teaching the younger generations the lifesaving skills of swimming & water safety throughout the years 💙

We would also like to extend our greatest thank-you to all the staff that have helped us over the years. We couldn’t have achieved the amazing things we have without you all 🩵

Thanks also to The Cassowary Coast Regional Council for their ongoing support throughout the years. It has been a pleasure to maintain such a wonderful complex for our community 🩵

And finally, we thank our beautiful daughters, Hayley & Renee. You have both been there from day one, and we wouldn’t have been able to get to where we are without your ongoing dedication and sacrifices. You have always been there whenever we needed you, and for that, we cannot thank you girls enough! 🥰🥰

It has been a pleasure getting to know everyone in this amazing swimming community and we will miss seeing you all, week in & week out. We are extremely touched by the messages, flowers & gifts we have received in the past weeks. It is very humbling to be reminded how much of an impact we have had on the people of our community 🩵💙🩵💙🩵💙🩵💙🩵💙🩵💙🩵

We’re not leaving town, so this isn’t a goodbye. We look forward to running into you all throughout the community.

One week to Go 😳

At today’s Council Meeting, Ian and Julie Arthur were recognised for their invaluable contributions to our community through the management of the Innisfail Swimming Pool & Swim School.

For the past 20 years, Ian and Julie have managed the Innisfail Swimming Pool and during this time, have managed this community asset in line with Council values and always put our community first. Through the learn to swim programs they have nurtured a love for swimming, built confidence in the swimming skills of community members and created a safe and supportive space for all club members and patrons.

They have maintained an impeccable record across all responsible duties, and implemented processes and initiatives to ensure the safety of patrons has always been priority.

With the desire to spend more valuable time with family leading to a new chapter for you both, Council and our community wish you well on this stage and thank you both for your significant contributions to the Cassowary Coast.
