Our Annual Open Day is back.

Saturday 9 May, 10 am to 2 pm, free entry.

Come meet the crew, check out the trucks, and go behind the scenes at your local fire station.

There will be live demonstrations, fire safety info worth knowing, and plenty to keep the whole family busy.

Another big night for 79 station, this time I was nominated for the Rotary cubs of MacArthur first responders awards, it was an honour to be awarded equal winner with another well deserved fire fighter, I was recognised for the work I have been doing with cancer awareness and education with FRNSW as I have been battling cancer for the last year. I was also very lucky to present my treating team with their own awards thanks to Rotary.

A big congratulations to On-call fire fighter Vaughn Evans from 079 Station, Vaughn was recognised last night at the Pride of Workmanship awards hosted by Rotary, Vaughn has 10 years of dedicated service to FRNSW and exemplifies Rotary’s motto of “Service above self”. Congratulations Vaughn

We are at Campbelltown athletics stadium today with static displays for the 24hr walk for cancer.

There will be an emergency services corner with FRNSW, NSWRFS, SES, NSW Ambulance, NSW Police and Transport for NSW.

POLAIR will also be doing a flyby at 0950 and again in the afternoon.

Come on down and say hello and show some support for the walkers.
