Today we learned of the passing of radio host and jazz musician James Valentine, who has died from oesophageal cancer at just 64.

Like so many others, James’ life was cut far too short by this devastating disease.

Oesophageal cancer often presents with subtle symptoms that are easy to ignore — but early detection gives the greatest chance of survival. Please don’t dismiss the signs.

If something doesn’t feel right, get it checked.

💜💜 OCAGI was honoured to once again be a recipient of funds raised by Corporate Clash Macarthur at their event in August this year, which Polly and Pena attended while assisting with raffle ticket sales.

We were also delighted to welcome Professor Vincent Ho and Dr Jerry Zhou, who provided Board members John McDonald and Paul Druce with a tour of the research laboratories at Western Sydney University’s Campbelltown campus. Professor Ho and Dr Zhou outlined their targeted research into oesophageal cancer, including our groundbreaking breath testing research for early diagnosis.
