Help to Buy has passed the Tasmanian Parliament!

Tasmanians can now finally access the federal government’s shared equity scheme after pressure and advocacy.

Tasmania is the last state in the country to sign on. This is a real win for first home buyers who’ve been locked out while the rest of the country moved ahead.

And with the recent federal budget delivering more support for first home buyers, including expanded access to Help to Buy - the timing couldn’t be better for Tasmanians looking to get into the market.

$700m is being cut from health. That isn't an opinion - it is a fact.

Unsurprisingly, the Liberals are once again trying to cover their tracks and pretend this isn't happening.

It's written in black and white in the Liberal's own Budget papers, confirmed by Eric Abetz himself and reported by any credible media outlet who has reported on the Budget.

Anything you read that says that these $700m of cuts aren't real is just Premier Rockliff and his team of 18 or more spin doctors earning their huge salaries.

They can gaslight Tasmanians all they want - attack me personally all they want - but the reality is that Eric Abetz and Premier Rockliff are taking a chainsaw to our health system.

Tasmanians are going to be the ones who hurt because of these huge cuts and Premier Rockliff doesn't even have the integrity to own what he's allowed Eric Abetz to do in this Budget.

If the Premier wants to talk about dishonesty, he doesn't need to look much further than his own party room.

Remember, every accusation Premier Rockliff makes is a confession.
