The public toilets at Figtree Park will be temporarily closed tomorrow on Tuesday 16 June for around six hours while electronic lock timers are installed. 🚻 🚧

Once these works are complete, the amenities will automatically open at 5.30am and close at 8pm daily.

We appreciate your understanding while these improvements are carried out.

Learn about your new Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) waste collection service from Mayor Zac Miles. Your new FOGO bin, kitchen caddy and compostable liners will be delivered in June to help you seperate your food scaps from your general waste. Your food scraps will go in the FOGO bin with your garden organics. 🍌🌽🍕🥘🌿🍃

The FOGO collection service will begin from Monday 6 July. It will be collected weekly on the same day as your red general waste bin.

Council is pleased to announce that this year’s Hunters Hill Medical Practice People’s Choice Award has been awarded to ‘New Day Dawns’ by Luis Ferreira, and the Kids’ Choice Award was awarded to ‘Bounty Burning’ by Ian Hansen. 🏆🏆

Hunter’s Hill local Luis Ferreira said “I’m speechless to be honest, never won anything in my life. I always come second. I just feel good that someone will hang it on their wall, I feel very proud.”

Exciting news! The FOGO bin rollout is officially underway. Over the next few weeks, your old green bins will be collected and replaced with the new FOGO bins. You might notice the new bins being delivered in bulk along your street awaiting distribution.

No need to collect them yourself, our waste contractor will distribute these to each household. Every attempt is being made to have the removal and replacement complete on the same day. If you haven’t received your bin yet, please don’t worry, deliveries are taking place progressively over the next three weeks.

We appreciate your patience during this time.

A reminder that double demerits will be in force for the Kings Birthday long weekend from Friday 5 June until 11:59pm on Monday, 8 June. ⚠️

NSW Police Force will be targeting motorists over this period who are speeding, using their mobile phone and not wearing a seatbelt or motorcycle helmet. 🚔👮

📣Draft Operational Plan, Budget and Fees & Charges - these describe Council’s operations and asset maintenance programs for the 2026/27 financial year, as well as the proposed Fees and Charges.

📣Council is also seeking community feedback on a proposal to determine Council‑owned land at 4 Pittwater Road, Gladesville as surplus to our current and future needs and suitable for disposal.

Visit us at Hunters Hill Town Hall, 22 Alexandra Street, Hunters HIll, until 4pm today (Sunday 31 May).
