We are now providing priority vaccinations for people aged 16 to 39 who live in Sydney Local Health District, in addition to the 12 local government areas of concern.
COVID-19 case numbers have doubled in Sydney Local Health District in the past week.
Most of our catchment covers south-western Sydney and the inner west where there have been significant transmission rates.
We also cover one of the most densely populated communities in the country with large public housing estates and the majority of people living in apartment blocks, which pose a significant risk.
Priority Pfizer appointments are available now at vaccination centres or clinics at Bicentennial Park, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney Airport and Canterbury Hospital.

An incident that happened in Lane Cove yesterday. It is always a good time to speak about Stranger Danger to kids in the school holidays.

A understandably distressed Lane Cove Mum sent us this report about an incident that happened in Lane Cove today about 5.30 pm

"A man tried to abduct my son this afternoon on Longueville Road. He fought him off but he has not yet been caught. We have a detailed description, witness and there was camera surveillance which the police will access.
We are local and have not seen the man before.
Asian, longish hair, navy work pants with paint splatter. Lap top bag. Navy blue baseball cap.
Cameras show he followed my son for quite some time from the plaza, into & out of Woolworths and along Longueville Road to the convenience store.
My son is 12. He grabbed him around the neck, secured his arms and tried to take him. My son Kicked & yelled and luckily got away. The matter is now in the hands of the police. Anyone with information should contact North Shore LAC - NSW Police Force or crime stoppers."
