Thanks to Mulloon RFB who donated a brand new fridge to Hoskinstown RFB. Captain Mark delivered it and the fridge will be a most useful asset in our Cat 1.

A truck carrying a tiny house through Hoskinstown hit overhanging willows. No injuries but lots of debris. The road is all clear now. Thanks to the Hoskingtown-Rossi RFB who turned out.

Great news that Hoskingtown-Rossi RFB have just received a brand new Cat 7 truck (yes, an actual brand new truck!) Andrew, Andrew and Rick completed the handover today and it’s now sitting in the station.

When was the last time you checked your fire alarms?

Smoke alarms, unlike wine, do not age well over time.

Did you know that most smoke alarms have a use-by date? Some modern smoke alarms have a life-span of up to ten years and may not have a battery to change, making it easy to forget how long since they’ve been installed.

Remember to regularly clean and test your alarms, and check the use-by date to help keep track of their age.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the strength, dedication and compassion of mums everywhere, but especially those in our family.

Across the state, thousands of mothers, grandmothers, mothers-in-law, stepmothers and aunties give their time to help protect their communities. Whether they're on the frontline or supporting behind the scenes their contributions are extraordinary.

Today, we thank them for all they do, not just as RFS members, but as leaders and role models in our brigades and communities.
