While things seem quiet in the pool Part A of the project is 99% done!
Our new all abilities/baby change room and outdoor shower are complete and look amazing. Bit of a freshen up in the existing changerooms also complete with a splash of colour and new hand basins.

In the background the committee have been working on getting a new pump, new pool covers and replacement/upgrade of outdoor umbrellas.

Can’t wait to see how swish it is all going to look once everything is completed.

Bring on Summer!!

Had a bit of action at the pool last couple of weeks with the concrete poured to make new pool wall bringing the length back to 25m and creating the new balance tank at the end of the pool.
There is some progress on the installation of the new ramp as well.

It's been a bit quiet at the pool over the last few weeks, but action will recommence next week with the construction phase happening and I should be able to put up some more photos in a couple of weeks tracking the progress.

It's getting real people, the excitement is building and bring on November/December and our fantastic new pool

Weekly update 2. Things are moving along at a rapid rate, although it just seems to be getting messier. I guess there is method in the madness.

After waiting many many many months (I think you get the picture) works have finally commenced on our upgrade of the Hopetoun Swimming pool.
The excavators (or whatever they are called) arrived last Monday and demolition began on the sides of the pool.
Lets hope it is all smooth sailing for the next 6 months and we get it finished in time for the start of our 26/27 pool season.
We are not allowed on site now so I will try and get photos through the wire of the fence from time to time and keep you all updated on the progress.
