This term, the Lyrebirds been immersed in Pip Harry’s wonderful novel August & Jones, and this week we reached the end of the story. There have been plenty of laughs, some important life lessons and even a few tears along the way!
Throughout the novel, we’ve explored rich ideas including character, theme, perspective and context, developing our understanding of how authors create stories that make us think and feel.
This week, we’re creating character roadmaps. Students are choosing a character and mapping out how and why they grew and changed throughout the novel, using key events and moments from the story to support ideas.
