Good news for your Monday morning 📖

Extended Hours Access will temporarily return to Strathfield Council Library & Innovation Hub to support HSC students from 28 September to 4 November 2026. Anyone with a Strathfield Council Library card can use the service during this time.

Access to the library during extended hours will feature enhanced security measures, including an onsite security guard and mandatory face-to-face inductions for all members prior to obtaining access.

It's Book Week! 🥳

Book Week is an annual nationwide celebration of children's literature, authors and illustrators.

Join us tomorrow from 10:30am-11:15am for a special Book Week Preschool Storytime (Ages 3-5). Come dressed as your favourite book character and join us for stories, songs and a fun craft activity. No bookings required.

The Enfield Tram Service

Tomorrow, 21 August, will mark 78 years since the end of the Enfield Tram Service which began in 1891. Trams ‘… were decked with floral tributes, and the last one had so many wreaths on board that there was hardly room to swing a tram ticket.’
The last tram also had billycans and saucepans tied to the back. It was followed by 20 motorcycles and 50 cars in the dark before 300 people ‘celebrated’ at a lively wake in Enfield.
