We need YOUR help to make sure this year’s events can go ahead! 🧑‍🚒🔥

At the moment, we only have 6 senior teams and 2 junior teams entered — and we need more teams to ensure we can run the events as planned.

We would LOVE to see a few more teams get their entries in and join us for what is sure to be a fantastic weekend! 💪

2026 TEAMS BRIEFING

Teams, Judges and Officials briefing will occur on Sunday 30 August commencing at 10am.

RSVP your attendance to [email protected]. The briefing will be conducted face to face in Youngtown and available via Teams for anyone else.

The GRE will be updated and uploaded soon (don’t stress there are no major changes). The dates and times for the Team Briefing will be released shortly, so keep an eye out for further announcements.

🚒Exciting things are happening for the Tasmanian Firefighter State Championships! 🚒

On Saturday, members of the committee visited our new home at the Agfest site and officially kicked off the planning process for future competitions.

The day was spent exploring the incredible facilities available to us, including the industrial kitchen, function room, bar facilities, shower blocks, toilets, and the extensive camping areas that will help make the event even more enjoyable for competitors and supporters alike.

We also began discussions around the infrastructure and site development required to ensure the smooth and successful running of future championships. The possibilities this venue offers are truly exciting, and we are already looking at ways we can grow the competition into an even bigger and better event for everyone involved.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed their ideas and expertise. There is plenty of work ahead, but we’re excited about what the future holds for the State Championships at our new location.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the Quercus Park Committee and Rural Youth Tasmania for their support and enthusiasm as we begin this exciting new chapter. We look forward to continuing to foster a strong and positive working relationship and working together to create an outstanding event for competitors, volunteers, and visitors for many years to come.

The Tasmanian Fire Service State Championship is coming up and we’re looking for a passionate photographer to help capture the action!

We’re seeking a volunteer photographer to join us across two exciting days in November to document the competitions, teams, and behind-the-scenes moments that make this event so special.

This is a fantastic opportunity to:
• Build your portfolio with action and event photography
• Be part of a supportive emergency services community
• Capture unforgettable moments from one of Tasmania’s biggest fire service events

You don’t need to be a professional — just enthusiastic, reliable, and able to bring your own camera gear.
