🎟️Ready, Set, Play! Tassie Kids Can Get Back in the Game with Ticket to Play

The Tasmanian Government’s Ticket to Play program is helping eligible young Tasmanians get involved in sport and active recreation by reducing the cost of club memberships and registration fees, the program provides two vouchers worth up to $100 each for eligible children and young people aged 5–18, making it easier for families to access the many benefits of staying active.

Applications are open until 28 May 2027 or when all vouchers have been issued

BIAT and UTAS is inviting people with lived experience of brain injury, as well as family members, carers, and service providers, to share their feedback through an online brain injury survey.

❓Purpose: To understand the experiences, needs, and perspectives of people affected by brain injury to guide future research, support services, and advocacy.
⏱️Time required: 30 to 45 minutes.
🏆Incentive: Participants can enter a draw to win one of four $50

The NDIA is hosting a series of webinars to provide detailed information about changes introduced through the National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026.

These webinars are designed for participants, families, carers and kin who want to better understand how the changes may affect their interaction with the NDIS.

One hour sessions are being run regularly up until 8 December 26.

The sessions will focus on practical information and explain what the changes mean for participants both now and into the future.

Some changes to be aware of if visiting the RHH:

🏥 Liverpool Street driveway will be temporarily closed to vehicles from 9 October to 20 December 2026
🏥The entrance to the Royal Hobart Hospital Emergency Department has moved to Argyle Street.

These changes are both in support of works associated with the Emergency Department Expansion Project.
