Sports Day Celebration
What a fantastic Sports Day we had! Our students took part in four rotations, including football, soccer and basketball, and it was wonderful to see so many students getting involved, supporting their favourite teams and sports, and having a great time.

A big thank you to the students from Copperfield for assisting us throughout the day. Your help was greatly appreciated!

The fun continued at lunchtime with our much-anticipated Teachers vs Students football match. To no surprise, the students came away with the win!

It was a fantastic day filled with fun, teamwork, friendly competition and plenty of enjoyment. Well done to everyone who participated and helped make the day such a success!

Our First Mini Principals!

On Wednesday and Thursday, we launched our very first Mini Principal Privilege as part of our SWPBS Rewards System!

Students who reach 50 Dojos can choose to become a Mini Principal for an hour, shadowing Mr Kotevski and experiencing what it’s like to be part of the school leadership team.

Our first Mini Principals absolutely loved the experience! From welcoming students and parents at the front gate and giving high-fives, to joining morning rounds and visiting classrooms, they embraced every moment with huge smiles and lots of enthusiasm. One of the highlights was our Learning Walks, where Mini Principals visited classrooms, spoke with teachers and students, celebrated great learning and handed out “Awesome Learning” cards to students who were working particularly hard.

A fantastic reward for students who consistently demonstrate our school values and make positive choices.

Congratulations to our inaugural Mini Principals!

Tomorrow Parkwood Green PS will catapult its way into Science Week.

Join us as 8:45am in the courtyard to help celebrate our start to science week.

Each day this week before and after school we will have an activity for the students and parents to participate in.

We are looking forward to our senior students sharing some science experiences with our junior students throughout the week.

We are incredibly proud of our 2026 NAPLAN results with our results demonstrating strong academic performance across both Grade 3 and Grade 5. We are performing higher in every domain across both year levels when compared with our Network schools.

Our results also show that we are:

• Higher in 10 out of 10 domains compared with Network schools.
• Higher in 9 out of 10 domains compared with Similar schools.
• Higher in 7 out of 10 domains compared with the State.

These results demonstrate the strength and consistency of student achievement across the school, with Parkwood Green Primary School performing above key comparison groups across the overwhelming majority of NAPLAN domains.

These results reflect the hard work of our amazing students, the dedication of our staff and the ongoing support of our families.

A fantastic achievement for our whole Parkwood Green community!

10 students proudly represented Parkwood Green Primary School at the Division Cross Country event, competing against some of the best cross country runners in our division.
The course proved to be a difficult one, especially with the wet weather conditions throughout the day. Despite this, our students showed incredible determination, resilience, perseverance, sportsmanship, and courage as they pushed themselves through the muddy and demanding course.

The Parkwood Green community is very proud of all your efforts and the way you represented our school. Well done to all competitors!

A special mention goes to Ayla for finishing 1st in the Division, Priscilla for placing 12th, and Noah for also finishing in 12th position. These are outstanding achievements against such strong competition.

We are incredibly proud of your efforts and achievements!

Walk Safely to School Day encourages students and families to walk to school safely while promoting healthy habits, road safety awareness, and active lifestyles. It is a great opportunity for students to enjoy fresh air, exercise, and connect with their community before the school day begins. Students are reminded to use pedestrian crossings, stay alert near roads, and walk safely with others whenever possible.
Well done to the Parkwood Community for taking part in the event.
