🍽️ Hospitality in Action! 🍽️

Our Year 12 Hospitality B students recently showcased their skills as part of their IA2 assessment, hosting a casual dining experience for parents, carers and grandparents.

Guests were welcomed into a beautifully presented dining room, complete with white tablecloths, floral centrepieces, menus and table numbers, creating an authentic restaurant atmosphere. The menu featured a refreshing cold drink on arrival, followed by a delicious sausage curry served with mashed potato and rice, and finished with a warm apple turnover, ice cream and a hot beverage.

Students demonstrated their skills in table service, food preparation and customer service throughout the event, with some even having the opportunity to share the experience alongside their invited guests.

The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many asking when the next event would be held! Congratulations to our Hospitality students on delivering such a successful and professional dining experience. We look forward to seeing what they achieve next.

Hospitality

Our Hospitality students recently stepped into the fast-paced world of service during their first event assessment for the Bar and Barista Services unit ☕🍴

Students worked collaboratively to deliver a large-scale production of chicken sandwiches, mocktails, and barista-made coffees-putting their skills into action in a real-world setting. Dressed professionally in their chef and hospitality uniforms (and hats!), they showcased their personal presentation for the very first time.

With the cooler weather driving high demand for coffees, the team rose to the challenge, working efficiently under pressure, supporting one another, and ultimately turning a profit 👏

This experience gave students valuable insight into the realities of the hospitality industry-learning how to operate in a high-demand environment, manage time effectively, and maintain quality service with minimal breaks.

Geography

The sun came out for the last of the Year 7 Amaroo excursions in Week 4. Students in 7A had a great day at Cooby dam where they conducted water sampling to determine the quality of local ecosystems. Students learned the importance of picking up rubbish in and around the school to ensure rubbish doesn’t end up in our local water ways.

We’re proud to celebrate our Year 12 students who have successfully completed their Certificate II in Electrotechnology - a fantastic achievement that reflects their dedication, persistence, and willingness to take on new challenges. 👏

Throughout the course, students have developed valuable industry skills and knowledge that will support them as they transition into apprenticeships, further training, or the workforce. This qualification is a powerful step toward exciting careers in the electrical and trades industries.💡
