House Rules: Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre encourages all members of the community to share ideas and interact on our page but there are specific terms, conditions and protocol that must be followed. In order to provide a positive experience for all users, we will intervene and remove posts when they are deemed to have breached these terms and conditions. The terms and conditions include, but
are not limited to:
• Posts or comments deemed to be prejudiced, racist, defamatory, offensive, off-topic, irrelevant, repetitive or otherwise inappropriate will be hidden or removed.
• Offensive language will not be tolerated (even in abbreviations).
• Harassment or personal attacks on the centre or other users will be removed.
• Speculation or comment on legal matters or legislation will be removed.
• Revealing sensitive information about others will be removed.
• Do not repost others’ appeals.
• Links to other pages, any non-government or off-topic page will be removed.
• Content that constitutes advertising, promotion of commercial interests, solicitation or endorsements or non-governmental products and services will be removed.
• Comments of a political nature or that could be interpreted as campaigning will be removed.
• During the caretaker period stricter rules will apply to those commenting on the page. Any users found breaching these guidelines may be banned from the Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre page. The Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre is located on Boundary Road, Torquay and open every month of the year. The facility features: an 50-metre, 8-lane outdoor pool, a children's leisure pool with water slides and play equipment, an indoor heated learn-to-swim pool and heated 8-lane, 25-metre pool with a disability ramp. Activities include: swimming club, learn-to-swim, aqua aerobics, swimming squad training, recreational swimming and adult fitness squads. The Maryborough Aquatic Centre is located on the corner of John and Kent Streets, Maryborough. The complex features a 50-metre pool, 25-metre heated pool, hydrotherapy pool, children's play area, changing sheds, toilets, kiosk, office and landscaping.
