The rain didn’t dampen my mood after officially voting for myself. 💙

I was preselected in August, and have since been working harder on this campaign than anything else I’ve ever done. Thousands of doors, thousands of bags handed out at the shops, hundreds of calls and emails - to which I’ve tried to respond to every single one.

And while I don’t get any credit in media write ups, I can sleep at night knowing I’ve done everything I can to earn the trust of this community.

I didn’t get here by luck, or without serious challenges. But I know that everything I’ve been through has just better prepared me for Parliament.

Every day, I kiss the boys goodbye and hope they know that what I’m doing, every sacrifice, every bed time missed - is to make sure they have a better future.

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see why so many women are picking up a club, and giving golf a swing.

A special shout out to Bonnie who heads up the Junior Girls Scholarship Program allowing those between 9-16 years a full year of membership and training to set them up for a success either loving golf or playing professionally.

Thanks to everyone who had a chat during early voting today! 💙

I had some wonderful helpers, great vibes, and I can’t wait to see more of you on Monday.

Remember, you don’t need a reason to vote early but you will only find early voting at West Beach Community Centre next week (not all the other polling places listed on the Electoral Commission card). Bit of confusion today!

Tonight, the Sharks celebrated the launch of their long-awaited Club redevelopment.

I was pleased to let the team know that of course, we will contribute $3m to this project if elected. 🎉

But the reality is, I know they will need more. That’s why, I have also committed to doing more.

I will do everything I can to help them achieve their goal of building a fit-for-purpose clubroom:
✔️ I will advocate for more funding no matter who is elected.
✔️I will support the Club in grant applications or other funding sources.
✔️I will get behind any of their fundraising efforts.

My advocacy continues long after the election is over, and I’ll always put our community first.

Congratulations to the Committee, the volunteers, and the whole Sharks community for launching this incredible next chapter. 🦈

✖️Issues with local planning and development, need reform at a state level
✖️Unable to afford multiple specialist appointments despite paying expensive private health insurance
✖️Urgent Care Centres being hugely unhelpful, with limited opening hours, long wait times
✖️Frustration with this Government’s arrogance and spending
