Last week was very exciting for Jess, Sophie, Zoe and a past educator, Natasha, who graduated from their Primary Teaching degrees at Flinders University. 👩‍🎓 🎓 🥳

Bonnie has been quietly working her magic on the back verandah, transforming it into a creative little haven where children can slow down, get messy, and make art. 🌱✨

This space has been thoughtfully brought to life to invite creativity, connection to nature, and self-expression, a place where imaginations can wander and little hands can create freely. We can’t wait to see what beautiful things grow here. 💚

Come and see the OSHC Eco Tree at the Christmas Tree Festival this weekend! (Sat & Sun, 10-4) Lots of activities for children, plus you might even see Santa! Come and take a stroll through the Christmas wonderland… and some of these gorgeous trees are up for auction, with all money going to charity. Thank you to all the children who helped make beautiful biodegradable and eco-friendly decorations for our tree. 🎄

We are again decorating a tree for the Blackwood Christmas Tree Festival! Students are busy making beautiful ornaments and decorations for the OSHC tree, which will then be displayed and auctioned off to raise money to support local CFS, SES and GrandCarers SA.

Please help us support this wonderful cause & community event by attending... and if you'd like a ready-to-go, fresh/real Christmas tree, with some stunning decorations, take part in the charity auction and you could take it home with you for Christmas!

Hey Families,

As I head off on maternity leave to spend some special time with my little family, I want to thank you for all your support, I’m so excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to return in July 2026.

I’ve loved being part of your children’s days at OSHC, the fun, the creativity, the laughter, and the little moments that make every day so special. Thank you for trusting us to care for and support your children, and for being such a wonderful part of our OSHC community.

To families who won’t be returning next year and are heading off on new adventures, whether to high school or new schools, it’s been a joy to get to know you and your children, I wish you all the very best for the future. I’m so grateful for all the love and support I’ve received from families, and I look forward to hearing your stories when I return.

We are always told how wonderful our service is when we're on excursions, but today a member of the public took the time to email through to the front office about their observations.

"Today I was at Charlie’s Diner in Brighton. There was a large group of your students dining there. I would like to compliment you on the behaviour of your students and the careful supervision of your staff. What a delight to experience such a lovely, social group."

I was so thrilled to observe our students enjoying their excursion today and am incredibly proud of the way they represented our service.

Children may bring a personal gaming device today (please no mobile phones with roaming data capabilities) - but it will be at their own risk of damage or loss. We will be having set times for “screens” and devices must be kept in their own bags during the rest of the day.
