Harvey’s long-standing Skate Night tradition is back this Friday, and we’re diving Under the Sea!

From 5pm–7pm, kids from Pre-Primary to Year 7 can hit the courts for games, activities, awesome music and prizes to be won!

🛼 Bring your own skates or use HRCC’s
🌊 Dress up in the Under the Sea theme – it’s encouraged!
👨‍👩‍👧 Parents/guardians don’t need to stay and supervise, but you’re welcome to stick around and watch the fun.

We're incredibly proud and excited to announce that Reconciliation Australia has officially endorsed the Shire of Harvey's inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Developing the RAP has been a collective effort, and our deepest gratitude goes to the Elders who guided us through this first stage of our reconciliation journey. We'd also like to thank everyone from our wider community who contributed to the development of the plan.

We're privileged to have partnered with local Bindjareb Noongar woman Casey Jones, who developed the stunning artwork featured throughout our RAP. Casey's artwork reflects the Shire of Harvey, from hills to sea, and represents every townsite and person across the Shire.

The RAP is a one-of-a-kind strategy for developing a more inclusive Harvey Region and sits alongside the Shire’s broader multicultural initiatives that uplift and celebrate local people. It focuses on increasing the recognition, inclusion and participation of Noongar people, who have cared for the Harvey Region, or Bindjareb Boodja, for thousands of years.

From Footy Day and Mythical Creatures to skating, gardening, movies and a spooky Halloween celebration, there's something happening every day to keep the kids entertained! 👻🏉🛹🌱🎬

Our licensed School Holiday Program is open to primary school-aged children from 5 to 11 years, giving parents peace of mind while the kids enjoy a fun-filled day with friends.

💰 $79.20 per child, per day (Child Care Subsidy may be available for eligible families)

Bookings are essential and places are limited to just 20 children per day, so don't leave it until the last minute!

September is shaping up to be a big month at HRCC! From celebrating Noongar culture and stories to incredible live performance and family-friendly fun, there’s plenty happening to enjoy.

🦋 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿- 5 September: a family fun day from 11:30am followed by the main event at 1:30pm. A vibrant, musical adventure bringing Noongar creation story to life with puppets, dancea and bilingual storytelling.

🦘 𝗞𝗮𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗱𝗶𝗷𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗷𝗼𝗼 - 8 to 29 September: a series of free weekly learning experiences that provide the opportunity to learn, connect and explore Noongar culture and knowledge.

💃 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗜𝗻 - 16 September: witness incredible dancing up close from some of Australia's finest dancers alongside talented local performers of all ages and dance styles.
