Please submit your petition to the Queensland Parliament to scrap the Community Safety Bill as its is UNSAFE for everyone in Queensland. Removing good peoples licenses for electronically associating with some person that the Queensland Police have secret information about, is only one of the WRONGs contained in this Bill. ron

Today the 21st February 2024 The shooting 'Legend' of Australia did the wrong thing, he died and left us. The Australian shooting scene is a smaller place without him. For over 70 years he has been writing articles and books with which everyone that has read his work is beneficiary. I wish to convey all our condolences to his family. He will be greatly missed and the monthly shooting magazines will have a 5 page hole within them for the foreseeable future. I will be looking for his ghost writer. On arriving in Australia in 1967 I read an article written by Nick in Australian Outdoors, I was a fan and became friends with him 20 years after that. He has been writing these shooting, hunting articles for 70 years and we will never see his like again. Nick was devoted to the individualist sport of shooting. He will be remembered by millions of hunters and shooters from all parts of the earth. Nick was an international advocate for Australia' hunters and shooters with publishers and firearm manufactures. Due to his writing he inspired thousands of young shooters to join our fraternity, to share in the adventure of outdoor hunting, ad encouraging them to embark on their own odyssey.
Nick was a Gentleman in all senses of the word, he was kind, courteous, considerate and a good friend. He gave a lot of himself to everyone he met, or anyone who asked his advice. I will miss him and I hope his legacy will live forever in the hearts of Australian shooters. Vale Nick Harvey 1931 to 2024. Ron Owen

They cancelled our Owen Guns page, we cannot do anything with it now. They have stopped us making any posts. We do not breach Community standards as we are a licenced Bricks and Mortar Gun shop. The Community Standard specifically allows us to sell our fi****ms in the same manner as any other Gun shop in the world. Someone is discriminating against Owen Guns. please pass this around. ron

Wednesday night target shooting had a seven to one increase in shooters last night. Trent and Neiil were both shooting over 190s and they were shooting prone, With bipods. Reg beat us all on the bench with 232 out of 250. We had a father & son both new shooters welcomed to the club. Max would have given Reg a run for his money, but forgot his bolt (its a fairly common occurrence when folk clean their rifles with a dry patch before they come and shoot. but drying the barrel before shooting is very important, just don't forget your bolt)/ Max had to try to beat him with a Club sporting rifle with a small magnification scope. We would like to see another 7 to 1 increase in numbers next week. All are welcome, but please come to nominate before 6 pm as we need to know how many targets to set up for and how many are on the benches and how many want to shoot prone. Also it gets colder after 7.30 and folks are wanting to get home to the fire place. Within that time each shooter can shoot two rounds. ron
