❄ Spotlight: WINTER IS COMING!

If the days seem to be getting shorter and the nights longer, that’s because the Winter Solstice is coming!
Celebrated on June 21, the Winter solstice (in the Southern hemisphere) marks the point at which the south pole faces farthest away from the sun, and is the astronomical calendar’s first day of Winter. It is the day that the period between dawn and dusk is shortest.
Good news, as it means that our days will start to become longer.

Our Make It! session on 24 June will be making Key Holders. These fun little houses are the perfect thing to keep your keys (or whatever else you might want to hang from them) safe. The cost is $3.00 per person and is open to everyone 7 years and over.
Book now to avoid the rush!

πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ Spotlight: SUN SALUTATION

June 21 is also the International Day of Yoga, so why not salute the sun as it reaches its lowest point and have a look at the yoga, Pilates and exercise books in the Health and Fitness section of our collection.

We have a range of titles that guide you through poses and breathing, with warm-up and cool-down exercises, showing the muscle groups involved and ensuring that you work safely and obtain the results you want – whether that is increased flexibility, a more balanced life or to build muscle tone.
