WARNING - PLEASE READ.

We have received word direct from the North Pole that SANTA HAS HAD ENOUGH 🎅. He tells us he visited too many homes last year that didn’t have working smoke alarms. He has informed us that he will not visit your home unless you have a working smoke alarm. Don’t be on the naughty list. Spread the word and contact your local Fire and Rescue NSW station if you need a shiny new smoke detector installed before Christmas.

It’s is a sad day for team 314.

After 10 years of meritorious service to Gunnedah and the State of New South Wales, today is the last day with Fire and Rescue NSW for Firefighter Andrew George. Firefighter George, or Georgey as he is affectionately known, joined FRNSW on 20 April 2015 and has been to countless calls in this time. Georgey has also enjoined multiple
Strike teams across the state in this time, including during the 2019/2020 bushfire emergency.

Georgey carries himself with a quiet confidence and perhaps Captain Welch said it best when he said “Georgey doesn’t say much, but when he does say something, people listen.”

Many thanks to his wife Danielle and his little girls for loaning us Georgey for a while.

All the best for your future mate, your will be deeply missed. The people of Gunnedah and the State of New South Wales will forever be in your debt.
