Since its inception in April 1898, the Association has worked industriously to ensure that WA maintains and continually develops its Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service Brigades. We support and encourage the progress of Fire and Rescue Services Volunteer Brigade members and their Brigades through representation. We promote the fitness and discipline of volunteer firefighters through competitions. We

**URGENT CALL OUT TO METRO VOLUNTEERS**

Is anyone free on Tuesday the 2nd of June to take Freddy to PCH to attend an event an event for the kids for a few hours? PCH had requestefd Freddy's attendance. The event goes from 9am to 1pm, but if you can only make it for a few hours that would be fine. Tim would normally do it but his will be away up north visiting some brigades. please get in touch if you are able to help out.

One of our fellow brigade colleagues from Bunbury Volunteer Bushfire Brigade post this abd I felt it was so important that they did.

"Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong, unwavering moral and ethical principles. It means "doing the right thing" consistently, even when no one is watching." No matter who you volunteer with, this is the bejind the scenes the public do not know that happens, but time and time again, volunteers from all brigades across the country are doing what needs to be done without the thanks they so deserve. Every volunteer acts with integrity - doing the right thing and what needs to be done with out others watching. Thank you for sharing this Bunbury Volunteer Bushfire Brigade

Today marks the start of the National Volunteer Week - 18-24 May 2026) where we celebrate all our volunteers, from the Volunteer Fire and Rescue Brigades to all volunters across education, health, wellbeing, environmentalists and everything in between. We give a huge shout out to you all and thank you for your service and sacrifice, and also thank your families that hold down the fort at home whilst you are volunteering. Thank You Volunteers!!!!
