Volunteer Fire & Rescue Services Association of WA Inc This is the official FB page of the Western Australian Fire & Rescue Services Association. This is administered by members of the Executive Committee.

Since its inception in April 1898, the Association has worked industriously to ensure that WA maintains and continually develops its Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service Brigades. We support and encourage the progress of Fire and Rescue Services Volunteer Brigade members and their Brigades through representation. We promote the fitness and discipline of volunteer firefighters through competitions. We seek to develop a community understanding, knowledge and respect for the Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service.

It is with great sadness that the VFRSAWA informs its members of the passing of former VFRSAWA President and Life Member Mr Frank Whittington AM.

Mr Whittington served as an executive member of the Association for many years, and was President of the Association from 1978-1987.

The Association sends its deepest condolences to Frank's wife Lesley, and family.

A funeral to celebrate the life of Mr Whittington will be held

Date: 24th September
Location: Brookton Bowls Club, Brookton HWY, Brookton.
Time: 1300.

We will update any further details in relation to Mr Whittington's funeral once we are notified.
