HENRY LAWSON FESTIVAL | MAIN STREET PARKING REMINDER

Residents, visitors, business owners and festival-goers are reminded that all vehicles must be removed from the street areas coloured in yellow on the map below in Grenfell by 5:00am on Saturday 6 June 2026 to allow for the installation of street stalls and the implementation of road closures for the Henry Lawson Festival.
Festival crews and stallholders will be on-site from early Saturday morning preparing for a busy day of celebrations, and clear access to these areas is essential to ensure a safe and efficient setup.

Please note:
• All vehicles must be removed from the areas highlighted in yellow by 5:00am on Saturday 6 June 2026
• Vehicles remaining within the closure area may need to be relocated
• Street closures will be in place throughout festival activities
• Visitors attending the festival are encouraged to utilise available parking outside the closure zone

We appreciate everyone's cooperation and support in helping us deliver another fantastic Henry Lawson Festival for the community and visitors alike.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you in Grenfell this weekend!

LOCAL STUDENT LEADERS VISIT NSW PARLIAMENT | STUDENT LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Student leaders from across the Cootamundra electorate recently travelled to Sydney to participate in the annual Secondary Schools Student Leadership Program at NSW Parliament.

The program, delivered by the NSW Parliament Education and Engagement team in partnership with Government House, provides students with the opportunity to learn about constitutional and parliamentary processes while engaging directly with elected representatives and state decision-makers.

Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke, welcomed the students and discussed the issues they believe are important to young people living in regional NSW.

Students representing schools across the electorate included:
• Boorowa Central School
• Gundagai High School
• Junee High School
• Narrandera High School
• Temora High School
• The Henry Lawson High School
• Ungarie Central School
• Murrumburrah High School
• Coolamon Central School
• Cootamundra High School

Ms Cooke congratulated the students on their leadership and commitment to their schools and communities, noting their enthusiasm, maturity, and dedication to making a positive difference.

We congratulate all students who participated and thank them for representing their schools and communities with pride.
