Situated in the beautiful Grampians in Victoria, Feathers ‘n’ Things was created by Tim and Belinda, who together built a unique and diverse collection of animals. Tim’s incredible animal husbandry laid the foundation for what Feathers ‘n’ Things is today, and his work in establishing our breeding programs and animal care will always be appreciated. Now under Belinda’s sole ownership, Feathers ‘n’

Things continues to hand-raise exotic and native parrots and cockatoos, sourcing some of the best bloodlines currently found in Australia. Our growing collection includes Buffon Macaws, Scarlet Macaws, Blue and Gold Macaws, Green-Wing Macaws, Red-Tailed Black Cockatoos, Mutation Caiques, and more. We also breed Valais Blacknose Sheep, Java, White and Pied Peafowl, and White Line Ostriches. Our picturesque 80-acre wetlands property provides a stunning backdrop and a relaxing place to visit. What began as a hobby has become a unique destination to interact with extraordinary animals. Looking ahead, Feathers ‘n’ Things will continue to provide well-adjusted pets and high-quality breeding animals while exploring exciting opportunities to connect with the community. 🪶💕 Ostrich Courtship in Action! 💕🪶

Love is in the air at Feathers n Things!

What you’re seeing in this video is natural ostrich breeding behaviour. These incredible birds are the largest living birds on Earth and have some fascinating family dynamics.

🥚 Female ostriches can lay eggs weighing up to 1.5 kg.
🪺 Both the male and female help incubate the eggs.
🌙 The male often sits on the nest at night, using his dark feathers as camouflage.
☀️ The female typically takes over during the day.
🐣 Once hatched, both parents help protect the chicks.

Watching these amazing animals display their natural behaviours is one of the many reasons we love sharing life on the farm.

.🦡 Meet the Newest Residents of Wombat Manor! 🦡

Say hello to Willow and Basil, our adorable young wombats at Grampians Feathers n Things!

Willow is the boss of Wombat Manor. Full of s***k, incredibly cheeky, and always ready for a scratch, she loves being the centre of attention.

Her brother Basil is still finding his confidence, but what he lacks in boldness he more than makes up for in sweetness. Once he warms up, he's impossible not to fall in love with.

These two are quickly becoming visitor favourites and are just one of the many unique animal experiences available at the farm.
