To celebrate the conclusion of our Indigenous novel study, our Year 6 students had Shepparton locals Neil and Tahlia Cooper from Kookaburra Fly come into our school. Neil shared his knowledge of Indigenous history in the Shepparton region and brought along plenty of artefacts for our students to explore.
The artefacts sparked plenty of questions, providing our students with a wonderful opportunity to connect their classroom learning with the Indigenous history of our local community.

HOUSE ATHLETICS! A day filled with House spirit, lots of encouragement & community support. A massive shout out to Mrs Thompson for coordinating the day and also to Mr Harrold for teaching our students the skills to ensure it was one to remember. Congratulations to Doyle House on winning the day, McDermott House on winning the team spirit award & Indiana for winning the individual spirit award!

Our Year 5s went searching for gold🪎 today!

What an adventure for Year 5! ⛏️ Students & staff went 61 metres underground into a real goldmine, explored the fascinating Golden 🐉 Chinese Museum, and finished the day feeding fish 🐟 at the temple. A day full of history, culture and plenty of excitement!

Street Hockey Hits the School!

We were thrilled to welcome Leo to GPS today, as he visited selected year levels to introduce our students to the exciting world of Ice (Street) Hockey.

Through a range of fun and engaging games, students had the opportunity to develop their hockey skills while learning the basics of the game. There was plenty of enthusiasm, energy and determination on display, with students throwing themselves into each activity and enjoying the chance to learn something new.

It was fantastic to see so many students getting involved, supporting one another and having a great time along the way. A big thank you to Leo for sharing his skills and passion for ice hockey with us!

And who knows… perhaps all this hockey excitement might inspire Mr Simo to build us an ice rink! 🤞🏻🏒❄️
