👏 Congratulations to Morgan, who proudly represented Wallarah Bay at the Sydney North Touch Football Trials.

While Morgan was not selected for the Sydney North team this time, she demonstrated outstanding determination, resilience, and skill throughout the day.

Most importantly, she displayed exceptional sportsmanship, representing both Wallarah Bay and our Gorokan PS with pride and respect.

We are incredibly proud of Morgan's efforts and the positive attitude she showed both on and off the field.

Well done, Morgan! 🌟🏉

Following on from our hugely successful Term 1 Mega Write 'Colossal Egg’ news bulletin, a group of very clever Stage 3 'Mega Writers' were invited to the Channel 7 studios in Sydney. 📺🎥
They were thrilled to be welcomed by newsreader and journalist Michael Usher who gave them a behind the scenes guided tour of the Channel 7 building including the newsroom, studios and control rooms. They were given extraordinary access to the 7 News studio during the live broadcast of the midday National News and also got to visit the Sunrise, The Morning Show and Home and Away sets. Thank you Channel 7 for making them so welcome and showing them some of the magic of television.

Apple has announced a set of new safety features to help keep children safe.

These new tools are designed to allow parents to manage:
👀 the content their children can see
💬 who their children can communicate with
⏱ when their children have access to apps
🚸 settings to support age-appropriate experiences.

We encourage parents to use these new features when they become available. Features such as Age Range for Apps can be enabled right now in family settings, with other features becoming available later this year.

Apple's announcement follows eSafety's consistent exposure of safety shortcomings through its transparency reports and marks a step in the right direction by big tech.

While we're pleased to see this positive step, we'll continue to push for further improvements to protect children from sexual abuse online and harmful material and features. It's important to understand these changes aren't a silver bullet. For example, children aged 13+ will still be able to click through warnings and view images without parental consent. It's essential that parents continue to talk to children about their experiences on their devices.
