I Heart Gordonvale

Gordonvale is a small town built at the base of the unmistakable Pyramid Mountain, it is surrounded by sugar cane fields and beautiful hills. The Mulgrave river is the life source of this rich landscape with its crystal clear waters full of fish it provides both great swimming holes and camping spots. The town has a strong history with stories from the Traditional owners, The gold rush era, Early days of Cane harvesting and of course the dreaded Cane toad. Gordonvale is a must for travellers and it caters perfectly to their needs. With the free camp ground and RV parking right in the town centre it makes access to the Settlers Museum and art gallery so easy. Boasting many cafes and restaurants you can dine in or have a meal in the park lined with fig trees. In more recent times Gordonvale has become the place to fill your fashion needs with multiple boutique stores it’s easy to spend the day shopping and whether you buy some thing or not you are sure to bump into a local happy to chat and fill you in on what’s happening around town or the best place to cool off.
