The signs that someone may be struggling aren't always obvious.

If you're worried about someone, trust your instincts and start a conversation.

Sometimes, a person may talk about feeling trapped, hopeless or like they're a burden to others. Other times, the signs can show up through changes in behaviour, such as withdrawing from friends and family, losing interest in activities they once enjoyed, taking more risks than usual, or giving away possessions.

It's important to remember that warning signs can look different from person to person. Taking concerns seriously and checking in with compassion can make a meaningful difference.

We were proud to have Mates in Mind take the stage at the Bendigo Bank Community Pitch Night, sharing how the program, delivered in proud partnership with Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney, is helping local sporting clubs create safer spaces for conversations about mental health.

Mates in Mind is all about encouraging connection, breaking down the stigma around mental health and helping people recognise when a mate might be struggling – because sometimes, simply starting the conversation can make all the difference.

A huge thank you to Bendigo Bank Community Bank Lindfield and the Pitch Partners who came together to support local organisations creating meaningful change in our community.

Every conversation matters. Every connection matters. And together, we can help make sure no one has to face a tough time alone.

Your support plays a crucial role in ensuring that when someone reaches out to Lifeline in their toughest moment, there is someone there to answer.

Most importantly, thank you for helping us answer the call.

Every bid, every raffle ticket, every diamond key purchased and every pledge made on the night helps ensure that when someone reaches out to Lifeline in crisis, there is someone there to listen.

Together, you are helping provide hope, connection and support to people when they need it most.
