Winter camping in the region just hits differently.

Crisp country mornings, fresh cool air that fills your lungs, quiet starry nights and the simple comfort of a warm fire crackling as the sun goes down.

You don’t need weeks away — sometimes a few days is all it takes to slow down, reset and soak up the beauty of the countryside.

Pack the van, grab a blanket and make the trip… winter might just become your favourite season to explore. ✨

Sometimes the heart of a country town isn’t just the place — it’s the people who bring its stories to life 🤍

A visit to the Texas Heritage Centre & To***co Museum is more than a wander through local history — it’s the chance to experience Texas through the eyes of Robyn, whose passion, knowledge and storytelling have made her a drawcard in her own right. From to***co farming and pioneering families to the hidden stories of the district, Robyn has a way of making history feel personal, memorable and deeply connected to place.

If you’re passing through Texas, Queensland, this is one stop worth slowing down for — not just for the museum itself, but for the stories waiting to be told ✨

The countdown is officially on!

In just one month, the skies over Inglewood will roar back to life as the Festival of Aeromodelling returns from 4–12 July 2026 — and if you’ve never experienced it before, this is your sign to make the trip.

Think giant scale aircraft, jaw-dropping aerobatics, jets, helicopters, float planes and aviation enthusiasts travelling from across Australia and beyond — all descending on the little town of Inglewood for one unforgettable winter weekend (or week if you really want to immerse yourself in it!).

Whether you’re a plane enthusiast, travelling with the kids, love quirky regional events or simply want an excuse for a country road trip, this festival is one of those hidden regional gems that surprises everyone who visits.

Make a weekend of it:
✔️ Pack the caravan or book local accommodation
✔️ Explore the region while you’re here
✔️ Stop in at local cafés and country pubs
✔️ Enjoy cool country mornings and sunny winter days
✔️ Watch incredible model aircraft take over the skies

Last year saw hundreds of pilots, crews and visitors bring amazing energy to town — and 2026 is shaping up to be even bigger. Trust us… this is one for the memory bank.

🎣 Good morning, everyone!

Just a quick update, as we've had lots of people asking...

YES! The Coolmunda Cod Classic is returning in 2026! 🐟

Make sure you lock these dates into your calendar:
📅 11th, 12th & 13th September 2026

We're currently working through all the behind-the-scenes paperwork and finalising the red tape that comes with hosting the event before we can officially open registrations.

The good news is we're getting very close, and we're hoping to have registrations open very soon! 🙌

Keep an eye on our page for updates—we can't wait to welcome everyone back for another fantastic weekend on the water.

Who’s already planning to enter this year's Classic? 👇🎣
