GET SET FOR PREP/PLAYGROUP – Every Tuesday morning 9 – 11 am
It felt a little bit like Christmas as the children and the adults opened up all the new toys we purchased, to compliment and enrich our play…. Wooden people, cars, buses and towns were some of our new treasures and for the little little people we had a hammer pound cube and a bead maze.
What a beautiful relaxing and enriching morning we shared…….
The sensory tray filled with chickpeas, pasta, beans and pea soup mix was a big hit – the children used their hands, plastic spoons to load up the trucks and take the food to the farm animals.
William loved the riding the trykes, Grace was a superstar counter, recognising numbers and counting 1- 1. Archer enjoyed the peppermint playdough and used plastic fences, trees and animals to create a farm. Calyx and Coltyn loved the sensory tray. Dean and his little baby brother Dexter were busy creating art pieces at the painting easel and Holly’s mum helped Holly hold the paintbrushes to paint her art piece. Hamish and Andy were coincidentally dressed with the same jumper and loved exploring the new toys.
Lainey helped her little brother Andy decorate his little person cut out for the office display!
The children always seem to enjoy the partner songs and singing time- we each took it in turn to find plastic farm animals hidden in a bag to sing “Old Macdonald’ and used colourful scarves to sing “A little Seed song.”
