Gold Coast Waterways Authority (GCWA) administer this page to deliver information about effective and sustainable management of the Gold Coast waterways. We are not able to reply individually to all the messages we received however make all reasonable efforts to moderate and respond to comments and questions raised via the comments function, where appropriate. We encourage our followers to engage on our posts, but we do ask that comments be respectful to others and their opinions. Comments that contain the following, may be hidden or removed:
• profanities, vulgar or abusive language
• personal attacks of any kind, hate or discrimination towards community members and other users of the sites including staff members
• direct reference to information which identifies a person, irrespective of the tone
• spam, third party solicitations or advertisements which promote any services or products
• attempts to defame site users, businesses, Gold Coast Waterways Authority (GCWA) or other Queensland Government agencies
• promotion or encouragement of illegal activity
• anything that promotes party political or religious references
• anything else which Gold Coast Waterways Authority deems do not remain on topic, are inappropriate or are not productive. In line with the principles for social media use established by the Queensland Government’s Chief Information Officer, messages sent to us on social media platforms are considered official correspondence and are subject to the Queensland Government’s record-keeping protocols.
