Not Jesus.�Not a Jewish king.�A Persian emperor.
That one discovery sent me down a much bigger historical rabbit hole: Hezekiah’s reforms, the Babylonian Exile, Ezra, Sennacherib, Persian rule, Zoroastrian influence — and the centuries-long process through which the Bible was written, edited and reinterpreted.
Some of what I found surprised me. Some of it challenged things I had been taught for years.
This new documentary isn’t about destroying faith.
It’s about asking a much more important question:
What happens when we stop being afraid of history and actually follow the evidence?
